Finger print art is always a popular with preschool children as it gives them the chance to get messy and creative. Our spring finger print art ideas can also be used to create Easter and Mother’s Day cards.
Paint a tree trunk and branches using brown paint and a paint brush. Dip fingers into pink paint and add blossom to the branches by pressing fingers onto the paper.
Finger Print Sheep
Dip fingers into white paint and print onto coloured paper to create the sheep’s body. Cut out pieces of black paper and stick on for head and legs. Finish by sticking on wiggly eyes.
Hand Print Flower
Print coloured hand prints onto paper including 2 green hand prints. Cut out hand prints and a circle of coloured paper. Stick onto paper in a flower shape and finish by using colouring pens to draw in a stem.
Finger Print flowers
Dip fingers in different colours of paint and print fingers onto paper to create the centres and petals of flowers. Once the paint is dry, draw on the stems with fibre tipped pens.
Dip fingers into white paint and printing finger prints in a circle onto black paper. Paint a stem using green paint.
Print different coloured handprints and then cut out. Cut out a vase shape and decorate by gluing on cut out shapes. Stick the vase and handprint flowers onto coloured paper and draw on stems using colouring pens.
