When we heard that a local primary school had recently achieved
the Eco-School’s ‘Silver Award’, the opportunity to visit the school to
gain an insight into the everyday life of an Eco-School was not to be
missed!
Holt VC Primary School in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, registered with the
Eco-School programme in early 2006, and have already won their
Bronze and Silver awards through their efforts to become more
sustainable in their daily activities.
We had the pleasure of meeting some Year 5&6 pupils from the
school, who were all very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about
their Eco-School status. We took along some of our favourite arts
and crafts products from our eco range for the pupils to be creative
with, including eco-friendly modelling dough, pastels, recycled colour
pencils, eco washable finger paints and recycled card. Pupils created
masterpieces based on the environment and recycling theme…and
here are some pictures of our artists at work and with the end
result.
We would like to say a big thank you to all the Year 5&6 pupils who
participated in the photo shoot and to Holt VC Primary School for
having us!
