The Consortium, the award-winning, national purchasing and distribution company, has
developed and successfully launched a new, first class website and online service.
The Consortium have created a fresher, more user-friendly website where customers can benefit from a
range of updated and additional services to assist with the browsing and ordering process.
Sustainability is high on the agenda at The Consortium, where the company works hard to promote
and apply sustainable and environmentally policies across its business. A fundamental objective of
the re-launch focused on providing greater control for customers over orders and deliveries,
in addition to encouraging the use of electronic invoicing and statements.
Other improved features include easier navigation around the online catalogues, special
offers customised to customer needs, an improved ‘Recycled and Eco Friendly’ section, plus new
product lines to The Consortium.
“The web is an excellent way for you to avoid ordering out of stock products, avoid duplications,
choose delivery dates that suit the customer and, take time and paper out of your process,” says Melanie
Teal, Chief Executive at The Consortium. “By using our e-procurement service you can even manage
requisitioning and authorisation processes online.”
